Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Counter Assistant to assist with the day-to-day running of our busy clothing department. The role will involve dealing with customer enquiries, processing sales, stock replenishing and general upkeep of the clothing area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service

• Communicate effectively with customers

• Provide a welcoming and friendly environment for customers

• Resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely and appropriate manner, liaising with the clothing and branding internal sales team to ensure customers receive the best advice and response

• Provide support for other trade counters as required

• Assist with showroom security

• Display merchandise and equipment, showing initiative with regards to the display of new ranges or products to attract customer engagement

• Replenish showroom shelves, create daily pick-lists and retain high shop-keeping standards

*May be required to carry out additional tasks which are appropriate to the post.

Required Skills & Experience

• Must be able to demonstrate direct customer sales experience

• Ideally from a clothing and/or footwear retail background

• Good numeracy and literacy skills

• The ability to negotiate with customers

• Capable of working on their own and make successful decisions contributing to a sale
