Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Team Leader to guide and support our Internal Sales Team at our busy Inverness Branch. You will play a key role in supervising, motivating, and developing team members while ensuring we deliver exceptional customer service. This role offers scope for growth, with the potential to develop into a combined internal and external sales leadership position over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Internal Sales Manager in delegating tasks, setting deadlines, and monitoring completion.
  • Manage day-to-day sales activities including orders, quotes, credits, returns, warranties, and manifests.
  • Support the Internal Sales Team in handling customer and colleague enquiries.
  • Contribute to and manage department KPIs.
  • Identify team training needs and provide the necessary support.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, set clear goals, and track progress.
  • Act as a key holder and support other departments when needed.
  • Successfully handle all sales enquiries from start to completion.
  • Advise customers on products, pricing, and availability (including non-stock items).

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a team leader or similar role (preferred).
  • Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with Excel skills highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and adapt to change.
  • Good numeracy skills.
