Job description

Key Responsibilities

Complete processes and tasks in a productive and timely manner.

Demonstrate stock control capabilities. Organise stock using internal transfers from other company depots and departments.

Replenish showroom shelves.

Introduce new products into the branch and source replacements for discontinued stock when required.

Action price changes where relevant.

Maintain required levels of cleanliness.

Provide technical and administrative support to other team members as and when required. This will also include support with deliveries.

Continually update sales levels by researching the history on each item as they appear for ordering.

Work within an electronic point of sale (EPOS) system, adhering to proper procedures and providing customers with a positive experience by creating a friendly impression at the counter.

Manage cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies, always with staff and customer safety as the uppermost priority.

Document, progress and advise those necessary of customer returns.

Review orders weekly.

Skills and Experience

Excellent Customer Service: communicate effectively with customers – connect with the customer by being friendly, helpful and knowledgeable – be available to deliver great service – resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely and appropriate manner.

Good organisational skills.

Strong verbal and written communication.

Computer literacy skills.

Ability to work to deadlines.

Ability to respond positively to new challenges and change.
