Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Counter Assistant to assist with the day-to-day running of our busy clothing department. The role will involve dealing with customer enquiries, processing sales, stock replenishing and general upkeep of the clothing area.
Key Responsibility
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Provide a welcoming and friendly environment for customers.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely and appropriate manner, liaising with the clothing
and branding internal sales team to ensure customers receive the best advice and response.
• Provide support for other trade counters as required.
• Assist with showroom security.
• Display merchandise and equipment, showing initiative with regards to the display of new ranges or
products to attract customer engagement.
• Replenish showroom shelves, create daily pick-lists and retain high shop-keeping standards.
*May be required to carry out additional tasks which are appropriate to the post.
Skills & Experience
• Must be able to demonstrate direct customer sales experience.
• Ideally from a clothing and/or footwear retail background.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• The ability to negotiate with customers.
• Capable of working on their own and make successful decisions contributing to a sale.
