Learning and Development Co-Ordinator


Job description

The Learning & Development Coordinator post is crucial to the delivery of quality learning opportunities within MacGregor Industrial Supplies for colleagues at all levels. As Learning and Development Co-Ordinator, you will work collaboratively with our management teams to create the right culture and environment for our colleagues to learn and grow.


• Support Managers to create a continuous learning culture

• Create learning solutions based on learning and development needs identified

• Research and recommend new training solutions to key stakeholders

• Engage multiple stakeholders to implement an ongoing learning needs analysis focusing on skills, talent, and capability

• Facilitate learning interventions

• Develop and maintain our relationships with external learning providers e.g., University of Highlands and Islands

• Utilise Government funding for training and development programmes

• Support line managers with ad hoc training support

• Ensure training record cards are accurately maintained for all colleagues

• Deliver induction programmes to new colleagues

• Ensure statutory training requirements are met

• Organise training with external providers where required e.g., Forklift Training, First Aid Training

• Utilise a blended learning approach in delivering training, including a combination of classroom and online training

• Seek databased feedback from candidates to continuously develop training solutions

• Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers

• Consider the costs of planned programmes and keep within budgets

• Experience working within a learning and development / human resources function

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Evidence of strong administrative and organisational skills

• Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task effectively while considering future organisational requirements

• Ability to work effectively under pressure

• Strong team player, with a collaborative approach to learning

• Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite

• Proactive and enthusiastic with an innovative approach to work

Previous experience in a training and facilitation role would be advantageous
