Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Team Leader to assist in managing our busy Showroom. This role supports the Showroom Manager in daily operations, staff coordination, product merchandising, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Manager with people management, product merchandising, and maintaining the safety and security of the showroom.
• Manage the department in the absence of the Branch Manager.
• Present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers.
• Deliver high presentation standards across displays, ensuring a clean, organized, and professional showroom.
• Provide exceptional customer service, building loyalty and driving repeat business.
• Review, log, and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain an accurate stock file and ensure regular stock rotation.
• Ensure price labels are updated in line with pricing and promotions.
• Identify and develop new sales prospects and opportunities.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and contribute to sales training materials.
• Lead and engage the team through daily interaction and Toolbox talks.
• Coach and support team members, helping develop skills and performance.
• Manage cash and payment systems securely and efficiently.
• Assist with the setup of specialist displays and showroom arrangements to promote products.

Skills Experience
• Previous customer service experience is essential.
• Experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills – able to connect with customers in a friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable manner.
• Strong experience resolving customer queries and complaints in a timely and appropriate way.
• Proficiency in numeracy, literacy, and basic IT systems (Microsoft Office, POS/ERP platforms).
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to work under minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of industrial tools, PPE, safety products, or MRO supplies.
• Previous experience working in a retail or industrial showroom environment.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in stock accuracy and merchandising standards
Ability to adapt to new challenges and change with a positive and solutions-focused
