Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Technical Sales / Service & Parts Advisor in our Aberdeen Branch. The candidate will support our existing team in dealing with customer enquiries, sales, ordering parts, billing workshop jobs and other duties as required.

Key responsibilities

• Complete processes and tasks in a productive and timely manner.

• Technical sales of Forest & Groundcare and Industrial Equipment.

• Deal with customer enquiries in a timely manner, providing the customer with a positive experience by being friendly and helpful.

• Carry out the administration of the Service and Hire department including ordering parts and liaising with

• the Service Technician.

• Set up and operate equipment following manufacturers’ guidelines and/or procedures.

• Demonstrate stock control capabilities. Organise stock using internal transfers and purchase order procedures from other company depots and departments.

• Work with our sales & stock systems, adhering to proper procedures.

• Replenish showroom shelves.

• Action price changes where relevant.

• Provide support to other team members as and when required.

• Assist with deliveries & collections as required.

• Manage cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies.

• Monitor progress of customer orders and service, communicating details with the customer.

• Maintain required levels of cleanliness.

Skills & Experience

• Excellent Customer Service: communicate effectively with customers – connect with the customer by being friendly, helpful and knowledgeable – be available to deliver great service – resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Good organisational skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication.

• Computer literacy.

• Ability to work to deadlines.

• Ability to respond positively to new challenges and change.

• Knowledge of Forest and Groundcare Equipment.

• Knowledge of Machinery & Tools.
