Internal Sales – Elgin

Location: Elgin

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday (Saturday rota if required)

MacGregor Industrial Supplies is continuing to grow, and we’re looking for an Internal Sales colleague to support an expanding area of the business, with a particular focus on fencing, agricultural products and garage doors.

About the role

As part of our Elgin team, you’ll be a key point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, processing orders and ensuring a smooth journey from initial contact through to delivery. You’ll work closely with external sales, suppliers and colleagues across the business to support growth in our fencing, agricultural and garage door product ranges.

This is a busy, hands-on role that suits someone organised, proactive and passionate about delivering great service.

Key responsibilities

• Handling customer enquiries by phone and email

• Processing and progressing customer orders through to completion

• Advising customers on products and services, identifying opportunities to add value

• Pricing orders, checking availability and liaising with suppliers

• Chasing overdue orders and keeping customers informed

• Supporting external sales and the wider sales team

• Maintaining accurate records and meeting agreed targets and deadlines

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for the right attitude and work ethic, with a genuine passion for customer service.

You’ll ideally have:

• A strong customer-focused approach and pride in doing a job well

• Good numeracy, literacy and keyboard skills

• The ability to work independently and make sound decisions

• Confidence communicating with customers and suppliers

• An interest or background in fencing, agriculture or related products (desirable but not essential – training will be provided)

• Previous sales experience is beneficial but not essential
