Job description

We are recruiting for an IT Team Leader who will lead a team responsible for technical support across the Company. The successful candidate will also become involved in specific IT projects supporting the growth and development of the technology infrastructure. This will be an office based role. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team of IT professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, encouraging their professional growth and development.
  • Develop a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to resolve complex IT issues and challenges.
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for IT service delivery and support, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimisation of the company's IT infrastructure, including network, servers, and systems.
  • Implement and enforce security measures to protect company data and infrastructure from potential threats.
  • Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT projects with business operations.
  • In conjunction with the ICT Manager, review and develop supplier relationships including purchasing and agreeing service level agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.

Skills and Experience

  • Must have a solid understanding of IT best practices, security principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an IT environment, preferably in a small team setting.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and network management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically to address complex IT challenges.
  • Familiarity with Infor OS would be an advantage.
  • Ideally will have a degree in a related field, but more importantly will have a proven track record of successfully managing IT projects from initiation to completion.
