We are currently recruiting for a Divisional Stock Control Manager to work alongside our Warehouse and Logistics Manager to monitor and control stock coming into the building & distribution of stock, managing cycle counts throughout the business, and resolve any queries regarding stock audits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the day-to-day controlling of stock, taking full ownership of designated areas within the business
- Managing control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved
- Weekly meetings with the Operations Manager and Warehouse and Logistics Manager to inform of any updates/issues that arise and work to provide solutions
- Managing and controlling perpetual inventory stock counting accuracy checks
- Working with the Purchasing Team and Product Managers to coordinate stock
- Liaise with the Warehouse and Logistics Manager for Warehouse transfer queries
- Using stock system to investigate negative stock, no lines shipped, incorrect quantity shipped and monitoring/ investigating stock losses
- Lead the stock control team to carry out and complete cycle counts throughout the business and outlying depots – Issuing, checking & investigating
- Manage the stock control team to monitor stock adjustment & stock level queries
- Ensure stock is put away accurately into the correct bin location
- Ensuring customer orders are progressed through the system
- Monitoring housekeeping, damaged stock, and reasons for damages
- Working closely with Branch Managers as point of contact
- Working with Team leaders to monitor and improve staff performance
- Reconcile and verify all deliveries to invoices
- Overseeing the unloading of delivery vehicles
- Liaise with the Goods in Team leader to control goods inwards and receipting of stock
- Working to teams KPI’s to control processes and key materials
*May be required to carry out additional tasks appropriate to the role
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable direct warehousing experience, working with industrial equipment will be an advantage
- Excellent people management skills, motivating staff to work to their full potential
- The ability to supervise and develop staff members and make decisions relevant to the successful outcome and conclusion of the warehousing processes.
- Previous Stock control experience required
