Sales Representative - Welding Solutions

Inverness

Job description

Location: To Be Confirmed (travel across the region required; occasional overnight stays)

Are you a high-performing sales professional with a passion for welding and industrial solutions?

We’re looking for an experienced Sales Representative to join our team and deliver market-leading welding technologies across a range of industries. Based near Inverness, you’ll work with a wide customer base — from manufacturing and fabrication to construction — offering tailored solutions that drive real results.

You’ll need a solid grasp of welding processes (MIG, TIG, MMA), a commercial mindset, and the ability to build trusted relationships that last.

If you’re ready for your next challenge — where your technical knowledge and sales expertise will be truly valued — we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Winning new business by identifying, approaching, and converting new opportunities.
  • Building lasting partnerships by understanding client needs and delivering bespoke welding solutions.
  • Delivering impactful demonstrations and presentations that showcase technical excellence.
  • Managing the full sales cycle — from first conversation through to quotation, negotiation, and closing.
  • Staying ahead of the curve by monitoring industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity.
  • Working cross-functionally to ensure seamless project delivery and outstanding customer experience.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Growth in both new customer acquisitions and retention of key accounts.
  • Customer satisfaction and loyalty, reflected through repeat business and referrals.
  • Accurate, up-to-date CRM management and reporting.
  • Contribution to the wider sales team’s success and collaboration with internal departments.
  • Technical credibility demonstrated through practical, effective solutions that solve customer challenges.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • A strong track record in technical or industrial sales — ideally within welding, fabrication, or engineering environments.
  • A deep understanding of welding processes and applications.
  • Commercial awareness with a solutions-focused approach.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to earn trust quickly and build long-term customer relationships.
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude and commitment to exceeding targets.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the territory.
