Job Overview

We are currently seeking an External Sales Representative for our Autosmart Division. The candidate will be responsible for increasing sales by identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Presenting products and services to current and potential.

• Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.

• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.

• Regular reviews of company accounts with the progression of any outstanding accounts.

• Security of all monies received by cash, card and cheque, giving due consideration of data protection.

• Plan and prioritise sales activities based on customer/prospect requirements.

• Developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge.

• Advise customers on products available and the product uses.

• Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.

• Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.

• Identify and resolve client concerns.

• Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.

• Prepare paperwork while maintaining and developing a customer database.

• Co-ordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to complete sales.

• Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.

• Ensuring labelling on products and chemicals is correct.

• Monitoring and maintaining Autosmart van stock levels.

• Manage products and services, ensuring pricing and margins are correct according to agreed terms.

• Liaise with Autosmart directly to resolve any customer queries.

Skills and Experience

• Be aware of ADR (carriage of dangerous goods)

• Full UK driving license, maximum of 6 points on license.

• Excellent Customer Service: communicate effectively with customers – connect with the customer by being friendly, helpful and knowledgeable – be available to deliver great service – resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Understands the importance of data accuracy.

• The ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions relevant to the successful outcome and conclusion of the processes.

• Ability to respond positively to new challenges and change.

• Good numeracy knowledge.
