What You’ll Be Doing
- Clerical Support to the Credit Control Team
- Responding to customer queries via email and telephone.
- Handling calls with a professional and confident phone manner.
- Sending account confirmations and overdue payment reminders by email and post.
- Processing card payments securely over the phone.
- Scanning and organising incoming correspondence.
- Reviewing and maintaining the accuracy of customer account details.
Debt Collection
- Contacting customers to follow up on overdue payments, primarily by phone.
- Reviewing credit-held orders and assisting in resolving outstanding balances.
- Credit Assessment
- Assisting in opening new customer accounts and checking application details.
- Learning how to verify creditworthiness using Credit Safe.
Communication & Record-Keeping
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of customer communications.
- Assisting the credit control team with general administration and reporting.
What We’re Looking For
- Good Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to work with spreadsheets.
- A confident and professional phone manner, with good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to tasks.
- A willingness to learn and develop within a finance-focused role.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
