Job description

We are seeking to recruit a Locksmith Coordinator to join our busy Ironmongery and Locksmith team. This role will suit a skilled administrator who is capable of managing a schedule of appointments for the Locksmiths, ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for external locksmiths.
  • Manage the appointments of external locksmiths.
  • Ensure all paperwork including quotes, purchase orders and technical documents are processed and filed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with external locksmiths to ensure that all invoices are processed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the computerised customer and prospect database.
  • Ensure confidential information is handled and processed in accordance with GDPR.
  • Deal with the routine enquiries from customers and staff. (i.e., by telephone, written correspondence, in person) and provide them with the relevant information or refer more complex, non-standard queries to the appropriate member of staff.
  • Assist the internal & external sales teams within the department.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge, aspiring to achieve Guild of Architectural Ironmongery status.
  • Adhere to all MIS Ltd policies and procedures including those relating to health and safety and environmental protection.

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • IT literacy and familiarity with computer packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in working with security software systems desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Able to balance conflicting priorities within the given time.
  • A drive to continually learn and develop.
  • Ability to work alone and make decisions while working for the good of the team.
