Job description

Be the first point of contact at the hire counter, dealing with all hires to their completion via customer facing, over the phone and E mails.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for initiation and completion of hire contracts in a timely manner.
  • Advising customers promptly of any damage charges etc incurred to hire plant and notifying the workshop to complete the repair efficiently to charge accordingly
  • Advise customers on availability of hire equipment requested.
  • Assist engineering craftsmen with administration
  • Arrange the dispatch of hire plant
  • Ensure compliance with departmental standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
  • Compliance in accordance with the company quality assurance procedures.
  • To provide direct support to all levels of MIS Ltd staff towards maintaining the highest level of customer service and upholding the good name of MIS Ltd.
  • To keep the work area clean, tidy and organised.
  • To provide support on the stock and system audit programme including performance reports and exception reporting
  • To assist in the provision of a comprehensive clerical and logistics service within the Department to achieve timely, accurate information and high-quality output.
  • Liaise with the departmental manager in procuring given tasks and compliance with departmental procedures to meet objectives including scheduling and costing.
  • May be asked work at other MIS depots if required

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Good customer service skills, numeracy and literacy skills, generally at National grade level.
  • IT literacy and basic familiarity with computer packages, e.g. Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work under time pressures
  • Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond positively to new challenges and change
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility to achieve completion of tasks
  • Sound organizational and administrative skills, including managing time effectively.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • The ability to deal confidently with people with clear and effective communication skills both verbally and written.
