Job description

Responsible for:

To support other staff within the organisation as necessary on a day-to-day basis e.g. providing parts provisioning advice and support.

Ensure the security of designated stock holdings within the stores including hazardous materials.

Maintain a centralised parts location system and, together with the Manager, identify and resolve stock control and/or pick fail problems.

Provide parts provisioning support to the Workshops team members.

Provide customer support, as necessary, via phone and/or counter enquiries including sales order processing.

To advise the Workshops Manager on parts control matters.

Ensure the accuracy of stock put away

Carry out rolling stock check to assure stock levels are accurate.

To advise other MIS Ltd staff on the parts receipt, put away and control processes.

To provide support on the stock and system audit programme including performance reports and exception reporting

Assisting with the maintenance of the Workshops parts provisioning function

Carrying out any other duties which are appropriate to the post as may be reasonably requested by line manager

Key result areas:

Monitor and Maintain Parts Stock Levels and status accuracy

Meeting performance targets when applied

Key tasks:

Parts inventory control including purchasing, receipt, storage, issue and despatch

Timely expediting of purchase orders including liaising with vendors/suppliers

To support other staff within the organisation as necessary on a day-to-day basis e.g. providing parts advice and support.

Ensure the security of parts within the stores area including hazardous materials.

Liaise with the Manager and/or Supervisor in procuring given tasks and compliance with departmental procedures to meet objectives including scheduling and costing.

Assist technicians with administration and parts requisitioning and pricing

Assist customers on parts requirements

Ensure compliance with departmental standard operating procedures (SOP’s)

safe and secure storage of materials and equipment.

Compliance in accordance with the company quality assurance procedures.

To provide direct support to all levels of MIS Ltd staff towards maintaining the highest level of customer service and upholding the good name of MIS Ltd.

To keep the work area clean, tidy and organised.

To provide support on the stock and system audit programme including performance reports and exception reporting.
