Internal Sales Person
Aberdeen
Job description
Internal Sales (Aberdeen)
Full-time (37.5 hours)
Hareness Road, Aberdeen
We’re offering an internal opportunity to join our Aberdeen branch as an Internal Sales colleague — a key role at the centre of our customer relationships and branch performance.
If you enjoy customer interaction, problem-solving, and seeing an order through from enquiry to completion, this role gives you real ownership, variety, and impact.
Why this role matters
Our Internal Sales team plays a crucial role in delivering a great customer experience. You’ll be trusted to manage customer enquiries end-to-end — from first contact through to order completion, while supporting both customers and external sales colleagues.
This isn’t just about processing orders. It’s about building relationships, spotting opportunities, and making sure things get done properly.
What you’ll be doing
Handling customer enquiries, quotes, and orders from start to finish
Managing “cradle to grave” order progression where required
Advising customers on products, availability, and pricing
Following up with customers and developing sales opportunities
Supporting external sales colleagues with order processing and progress
Liaising with suppliers to order, expedite, and resolve issues
Managing order discrepancies, returns, and overdue orders
Working closely with branch and warehouse colleagues
Supporting warehouse and trade counter activity when required
Who this role could suit
This opportunity could be a great fit if you:
Enjoy working with customers and taking ownership of tasks
Are organised, detail-focused, and confident juggling priorities
Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a team
Are comfortable making decisions and working with minimal supervision
Respond positively to change and new challenges
Previous sales experience is beneficial, but not essential — attitude, customer focus, and willingness to learn are what matter most.
