Branch Retail Assistant

Location: Inverness

Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on a rota where required

We are looking for a Branch Retail Assistant to join our Inverness team. This is a customer-focused role where you will help customers find the right products, provide advice and support, and contribute to the overall success of the branch.

The Role

Delivering Excellent Customer Service

Customer service sits at the centre of everything we do. You will be one of the first points of contact for customers visiting the branch, ensuring every interaction is friendly, professional and helpful.

You will:

  • Welcome customers and understand what they need
  • Provide helpful advice on products and solutions
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Support customers with product enquiries
  • Build positive relationships with regular customers
  • Ensure every customer leaves with the right products and a great experience

Our aim is simple: customers should leave feeling confident they received excellent service and the right support.

Supporting Sales and Branch Success

Alongside delivering great service, you will help contribute to the commercial success of the branch.

You will:

  • Promote key product ranges and seasonal offers
  • Recommend additional products where helpful to the customer
  • Support customers in finding the best solution for their needs
  • Help convert enquiries into completed sales
  • Contribute to branch revenue and performance targets

Maintaining a Welcoming Showroom

A well-presented branch environment helps customers find what they need and creates a positive experience.

You will help:

  • Maintain tidy, well-stocked displays
  • Ensure products are clearly priced and easy to find
  • Replenish stock in the showroom
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming customer environment

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with customers and being part of a team.

You might already have experience in retail, trade counter sales or customer service, but attitude and approach are just as important.

You will ideally be:

  • Friendly, approachable and confident speaking with customers
  • Reliable and organised
  • Comfortable using computer systems
  • Motivated to provide excellent customer service
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
