Job description

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our team and manage operations within MacGregor Industrial Supplies. The candidate will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working alongside warehouse team leaders to deliver first class service to both external and internal customers.

• Leading & motivating the warehouse team through support and excellent people management skills.

• Supervise the loading of company vehicles with customers’ orders.

• Ensuring goods are receipted in quickly and accurately, with any discrepancies being highlighted and addressed by office staff.

• Ensure all delivery notes are checked against delivery manifest.

• Supervise customers’ orders as requested, making sure goods are picked and packed in an efficient and effective manner.

• Ensure that all stock is safely stored and secured at all times, and to assist in the re-organisation and re-locations of stock when necessary to accommodate any volume purchases / seasonal items.

• Drive & deliver a complete stock check annually.

• Provide support to other team members as and when required within the full warehouse operation

• Identify key areas to improve and striving to make efficiency savings throughout the warehouse operation.

• Ensure that staff are following company processes and procedures.

• Assist with performance management and training requirements of team and deal with any performance issues as they arise.

• Reporting and recording any Health & Safety issues and near misses.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years direct warehousing experience with industrial equipment and materials and/or has had at least 2 years’ goods, logistics or distributive experience and holding a current full UK driving licence.

• Excellent people management skills, motivating staff to work to their full potential

• The ability to supervise and develop staff members and make decisions relevant to the successful outcome and conclusion of the warehousing processes.

• An investigative nature to question if something does not appear to be correct.

• Confident leadership skills
