Forest & Groundcare Technician

Location: Elgin

Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

MacGregor Industrial Supplies is looking for a Forest & Groundcare Technician to join our workshop team in Elgin.

This is a hands-on role servicing, repairing and preparing a wide range of groundcare and forestry equipment for customers across the region. If you enjoy mechanical work, solving problems and taking pride in high-quality workmanship, this could be the role for you.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Servicing and repairing groundcare and forestry equipment
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out mechanical repairs
• Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on equipment
• Working with the Parts Department to ensure components are available for repairs
• Maintaining workshop tools, plant and equipment in a safe and organised condition
• Operating equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Carrying out testing and precision measurements where required
• Completing job tickets, timesheets and service documentation accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks if allocated a vehicle
• Supporting emergency call-outs during working hours where required

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical or technical experience (groundcare, agricultural, plant or automotive beneficial)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A practical, hands-on approach
